    Our client are a centre of excellence within the education sector. They are consistently recognised as one of the leading establishments in their field. They are now looking to recruit a Capital Accountant on an interim basis to join the Finance Department. The Finance Department has over 60 members of staff and cover 4 main activity areas of Management Accounting, Accounting Services, Finance Shared Services & Procurement.

    Your New Role

    The Capital Accountant roles provides a key input to good investment appraisal and decision making for the organisation. Duties will include;

    Coordinate the budgeting, forecasting and medium term planning activities of the capital programme including income & expenditure elements
    Provide support and guidance on the Capital procedures to non finance personnel
    Monitor capital expenditure and capital grant budgets, liaising on a monthly basis with key stakeholders to review project progress
    Provide timely & accurate monthly cash flow schedules for actual and forecast capital expenditure and capital grants for treasury purposes
    Provide quarterly forecasts for depreciation
    Maintain the fixed asset register
    Prepare financial reports on capital expenditure and associated capital grants
    Provide help & guidance in the development of capital business cases
    Produce financial models & appraisals for capital projects
    Prepare and reconcile capital expenditure statements

    What’s on Offer

    You will be a qualified accountant with a good understanding of FRS102. You will have excellent analytical and data interpretation skills coupled with strong communication skills, particularly when dealing with non finance personnel.
    Salary guide £38000 – £48000
