    YOUR NEW JOB….
    Receiving incoming goods and managing the goods-in process end to end, supporting a larger team and undertaking varied tasks including supporting accounts and sales teams. The role will develop and grow and we are looking for someone who wants to build a career and develop long term.

    Opening incoming parcels, checking and recording goods-in with high levels of attention to detail, packing and shipping, invoicing, supporting the accounts team and managing the stores area. Opening post and updating the in-house database. Ordering supplies for the office, and providing support in daily tasks such as filing and administration. Supporting the sales team by dealing with supplier queries.

    THE ROLE..

    You will be working on a part-time basis (25 hours per week, hours Monday to Friday 9am – 3pm with 1 hour lunch) and responsible for performing credit control duties within a busy team.

    The role will involve the collection of cash in an efficient and timely manner and performing periodic credit checks. Also involves liaising with Internal departments in regards to problem customers to find solutions to late / non-payments / blockings together with reviewing credit applications and Financials for presentation to senior management for approval.

    WHAT’S ON OFFER..

    The role is initially offered on a contract basis for 6 months and paid directly by our client. The salary will be £19,500 – £22,500 pro rata.

    THE JOB..

    You will control and manage supplier accounts records, correspondences and settlements, in order to maintain favourable supplier relationships and terms to support the trading needs and values of the business

    Key duties:
    Request and reconcile supplier statements for all active A/P accounts, and;
    Arrange and co-ordinate actioning of non-reconciling items with staff
    Liaise with suppliers for additional details or copies, as required
    Track and co-ordinate resolution of queries and disputes
    Manage supplier settlement processes, with reference to relevant supplier credit terms
    Deal with all A/P correspondence in a timely and professional manner
    Identify and address any supplier disputes, to minimise trading disruption to the business from suppliers suspending or withdrawing credit account facilities
    Liaise with A/R to manage and maintain contra arrangements, where favourable
    Maintain and periodically review supplier ‘organisation’ master data records
    Support management accounts monthly/quarterly reporting and analysis of A/P information, as appropriate (i.e. review old outstanding balances, write-offs, account closures etc.)

    WHAT’S ON OFFER..

    Competitive salary and benefits. Salary c. £20,000 to £25,000 dependent upon experience.
    The role may be offered on a temporary to permanent or permanent basis – to be decided following interview.
    Hours Monday to Friday 9am to 5.30pm.
